Internationally acclaimed opera singer, Marianne Cornetti, shares her 32-year journey growing up in a small town to singing in all the major operatic theatres in the world.

One of the results of trauma is changes in the brain. Minds and brains seem to change in their capacity to think and in how the world is perceived due to trauma. For many students COVID-19 has been traumatizing, and it does impact the ability to learn. This presentation is about what happens with trauma and learning and how to overcome these changes.

Presented by John W. Alverson, PhD, Professor of Theology. The presentation will lay a foundation for the public significance of theology, in general, a brief exploration into the theology of power, and an explanation of what is meant by “affording mercy.”
