This event is part of the Sister Mary Paul Educator Workshop Series.
As educators, there are so many things to consider with regards to teaching and learning. We are required to meet standards and the expectations of our school, be responsive to a myriad of differences, engage the students and families we work with, and beyond. How can we distill these parts to what truly matters? What does that mean for the curriculum in our classroom? Here’s where contextual curriculum comes into play. This framework places value on the context of our unique teaching and learning experiences and can include the voices of stakeholders to meet the ultimate goal of meaningful teaching and learning. Engage in a workshop to share the strengths and challenges of your context, and work to find ways to make the learning experience be reflective of your unique situation.
