Art and Learning: An exciting four-part series that explores the intersection between creativity, cognition, and storytelling. Any interested educator, student, or community member is invited to participate.
Part 1: See Like an Artist
How do artists develop ideas? Does creativity spontaneously happen or is there a method to inspiration and invention? Join us in exploring art history, idea development, and creative process during the first of four workshop experiences. View and discuss art by Sol LeWitt, Romare Beardon, and Bisa Butler. Discover new ways to see art through Philip Yenawine’s Visual Thinking Strategies developed at the Museum of Modern Art. Delve into Design Thinking and how it can apply to any idea or discipline. Bring it all together and explore one of your ideas through collage.
