Art + Design Weekend Workshop: Symbolizing the Self

Artists who attend this workshop will create a multimedia self-portrait collage. The artwork will include symbols and color choices related to the artist’s identity. Prior to attending the workshop, each attendee will provide a photograph of themselves, which will be printed in grayscale prior to the workshop and offered to attendees upon arrival. It will be incorporated into the self-portrait and embellished with colored pencil, watercolor, collage, and a variety of other media.

This workshop includes lunch and is free of charge to participants; however, please note that space is limited. An optional student-led tour of Carlow’s campus will be offered at 1:00 p.m.
