About Enright
Anne Enright was born in Dublin in 1962, where she now lives and works. She is the author of seven novels, two collections of short stories and a book of essays about motherhood. Individual short stories are published in The New Yorker, essays in The London Review of Books and The New York Review of Books, prizes include The Booker Prize in 2007 and the Irish Novel of the year, twice. Enright was the inaugural Laureate for Irish Fiction 2015-2018. Her most recent publications are no authority, writings from the Laureateship (UCD Press ), a collection of essays and short stories, and Actress (Norton, 2020), a novel. She is a Professor of Creative Writing at University College Dublin.
