​The Nature and Role of the Therapeutic Relationship in Psychotherapy

Through this intermediate level presentation, participants will learn:

  • More about the therapeutic relationship between therapists and clients, including how they can make use of the relationship to improve treatment
  • About the presenter’s tripartite model of the therapeutic relationship from different theoretical perspectives
  • About elements of the therapeutic relationship that are often neglected in training, e.g., patient transference and therapist countertransference

Attendance of this event will earn Social Workers and LPCs one (1) CEU Credit.
