Dear Students,
The Allegheny County COVID-19 infection pattern has continued to trend downward to just above 7% this week. That said, the county still remains in the high-risk category for infection rate. Details on the “County View” may be found by clicking here. Carlow will continue to require wearing masks when inside campus buildings, including classrooms.
Please review additional important information for you to know.
New This Week:
Spring Break March 7-11
Next week, the University will be on Spring Break, Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11. Though classes will NOT be in session during that time, the campus will remain open. Classes will resume Monday, March 14.
Indoor Mask Requirement
On Friday, Feb. 25, the CDC altered their mask guidance, which is now based upon specific community’s level of spread. Even though Allegheny County community level is considered Low and this would indicate that masks are optional by the CDC guidelines, the University will continue to maintain its indoor mask requirement at this time.
We are reviewing the CDC’s changes and will make any adjustments to our COVID-19 response so long as it aligns with our continued commitment to the common good.
