The Allegheny County Health Department reported this week that COVID-19 case counts and hospitalizations continue to trend downward. Dr. Bogen has further reported that 68% of adults in Allegheny County have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Welcome to the Summer 2021 Term
For those new and continuing at Carlow University for the Summer term, we will send weekly updates on Thursdays with important student information. If you need technical or online support, please reach out to the Help Desk via help@carlow.edu and a technician will respond. All registration, student account and financial aid questions may be directed through the Student HUB at 412-578-6389. Those needing a new student ID may contact or stop by Campus Police dispatch 24/7 at 412-578-6005 to receive assistance. If you are unsure where to turn, please reach out to Student Affairs at 412-578-6293 or studentaffairs@carlow.edu for assistance.
All-student Distribution Notices Now on Isadora
With the spring implementation of the new Isadora Intranet platform, we have been able to effectively split academic course support (Schoology) and general University information and resources (Isadora). Therefore, as of May 24, all notices for the all-student distribution list will be funneled through the Isadora announcement platform. The existing platform on Schoology will be discontinued as of Monday. Thank you for your understanding and support of this process.
2020-2021 Student Activity Fee Credit
In collaboration with the Student Government Association (SGA), the University assessed activity fee use and approved a credit for fees not used. Those attending Carlow for one semester will receive a $63 credit/refund while those attending the full year are receiving a $126 credit/refund. If you have a balance due for fall 2020 or spring 2021, you will receive a credit on your account. If you do not, you will receive a refund check in the mail.

Complete Course Registration
Summer and fall course registration remain open. The summer session began on May 17 and runs through August 6. If you have not completed course registration, please do so soon. We will begin evaluating summer and fall courses that are under enrolled. If you are having difficulties, please reach out to your advisor, the Student HUB (412-578-6389) or Student Affairs (412-578-6293 or studentaffairs@carlow.edu) and we will be happy to assist.
Common Good Expectations Remain
At present, we ask that all coming to campus continue to demonstrate a commitment to the common good: wearing a mask, social distancing, washing hands, and cleaning common surfaces before and after use. We are evaluating both CDC and pending updated state guidelines and restrictions that are permitting more open access. When we make decisions to update expectations, we will communicate those directly and specifically to the community.
We will continue to keep you informed throughout the summer on plans for the fall semester as we return to a predominantly on-ground and in-person format.
