PMI Is World’s Leading Association for Project, Program or Portfolio Management
Pittsburgh, Pa. –The Project Management Institute (PMI) has reviewed and approved Carlow University as a provider of project management training by the Project Management Institute. One of the tracks in Carlow’s Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) program is a project management concentration.
“Project managers are employed in virtually every industry,” said Howard Stern, PhD, director of the MBA program at Carlow. “This concentration allows interested students the opportunity to learn the latest skillsets and tools of the project management trade.”
As a PMI Registered Educational Provider (REP), Carlow has agreed to abide by PMI-established quality assurance criteria. Based in Philadelphia, PMI, with more than three million members, is the world’s leading association for professionals working in project, program, or portfolio management.
All Carlow faculty who teach in the MBA program’s project management track are Project Management Professional (PMP) credential holders.
“I can’t think of a better way to prepare students in their journey’s to become a project management professional,” said Dave Wolfe, MBA, PMP, who teaches Project Management at Carlow. Wolfe believes this PMI approval will set Carlow apart from other project management training programs in the region.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth in this field is projected to increase through 2026, and students who earn an MBA with a project management concentration will stand out in this field, said Stern.
