HOME SWEET HOME

A campaign to improve our residence halls

Frances Ward Hall and Dougherty Hall, our residence halls, house Carlow’s on-campus student residents. Connected to each other, the halls are central on campus and an integral part of campus life serving as the students’ space to connect, study and prepare for life after college.

Our Vision

Our vision is to improve our residence halls and provide a dynamic “Home Sweet Home” environment that positively contributes to our students’ overall college experience.

Collectively, both residence halls have 238 rooms, plus student lounges and other common areas. The “Home Sweet Home” fund will provide improvements to each room and lounge with new furniture, flooring, room accoutrements, appliances and additional enhancements.

The needs of students in today’s learning environment are ever-changing. These improvements will provide students with an enhanced environment to study and prepare for exams, a comfortable place to sleep and rest for a new day of learning, and ensure the very best on-campus housing experience.

Naming Opportunities

Leave your legacy and further the mission of Carlow University by considering a naming opportunity with the Home Sweet Home project.  Naming a space within the residence halls is a great way to honor the past, remember great times while on campus, memorialize a loved one or join with your fellow classmates to name your room that you stayed in on campus. For more information, please contact Cara Kassabov, VP for University Advancement & Alumni Engagement, at +1 (412) 578-6294 or cakassabov@carlow.edu.

Alumni memories & stories

As we fundraise to improve our residence halls we want to remember and celebrate everyone who has once lived on campus. We would love to hear your memories and stories from when Carlow was your “Home Sweet Home“.
