Gayle L. Tissue is Vice President of University Advancement and Alumni Engagement. She comes to Carlow after a 45-year career in fundraising, with a focus on clinical, education, and research. She began her fundraising career at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and, after 27 years, moved on to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. From there she raised funds across the University for the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine, Departments of Neurosurgery and Neurology, Geriatrics and many more departments and programs. Post-UPMC, she launched her own consulting business, Gayle Tissue Strategies, and worked primarily with nationally based organizations like the American Foundation for the Blind. Gayle is eager to apply her industry expertise to helping Carlow meet its fundraising goals.
