Ms. Kamel is skilled in health education resource creation and delivery, leadership and management, standards compliance and governance, and community building. She is experienced in teaching population health and wellness across the lifespan. Credentialed with a MSN in Education & Leadership and certified as a Yoga and MBSR teacher, her course offerings are adaptive to learner types and environments. Grounded in ethics & diplomacy, Ms. Kamel is licensed Registered Nurse; as a proactive team player she cares for clients holistically while prioritizing projects and solving complex problems. She is competent in using the Microsoft Suite and online Learning Management Systems.

Ms. Kamel’s experience and scholarship is represented through clinical partnerships supporting academic success and wellbeing of students, nurses, and communities of interest in the higher education and public health sectors. She is actively engaged in Healthy Campus/Healthy People leading evidence-based initiatives addressing emotional health and stress. As a member of the American College Health Association and the Allegheny County Immunization Coalition, Ms. Kamel aims to restore public trust in and access to health care. Using a collaborative team approach, she co-created perinatal and perioperative student internships addressing workforce needs and has published articles and art in nursing and narrative medicine journals. 

Having launched her career at the bedside in geriatrics, Ms. Kamel specialized into the nursing care of adults in end-stage organ failure and transplantation. She served as a nurse educator in Italy and leads study abroad and culturally immersive experiential learning. Striving toward health equity, Ms. Kamel implemented tri-state outreach programs to enhance care quality and access for rural clients with advanced heart failure. As a lifelong learner, Ms. Kamel’s passion for the art and science of nursing and yoga creates opportunities to empower people with the skills to thrive and adapt in the evolving landscape of health and wellbeing.
