Emma is a faculty member in the Practical Nurse Certificate Program. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Nursing Education in March of 2024 from Capella University. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in May of 2020 from Duquesne University. Before specializing in education, Emma worked as a bedside nurse where she found a true passion for oncology. She obtained an Oncology Certified Nurse certification in November of 2023, solidifying her devotion to the vulnerable population. During her time as a bedside nurse, Emma also practiced as a travel nurse within various cardiovascular, medical-surgical, and telemetry units across Pennsylvania.
Immediately after becoming a nurse, Emma developed a true love for nursing education. In January of 2024, Emma began her teaching career as an adjunct clinical instructor for Carlow’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. In the summer of 2024, Emma transitioned into the Practical Nurse program to continue her clinical instructing experience. In August of 2024, Emma became a faculty Instructor in the Practical Nurse program where she continued her teaching in the classroom, clinical, and laboratory settings. Emma greatly enjoys sharing her clinical experiences with nursing students and assisting them with their educational journey.
