Dr. Okpozo, MBBS, PhD, is a dedicated professional with extensive knowledge and experience in education, committed to advancing academic excellence in Physician Assistant (PA) training. Currently, she holds the position of Associate Professor, where she emphasizes the delivery of high-quality education within an ARC-PA-accredited curriculum.

She is committed to advancing the healthcare profession through the education of students, equipping them to be merciful, compassionate, confident, and competent in both patient care and administrative practices. Her focus encompasses the holistic approach to addressing the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the diverse populations they will serve.

Dr. Okpozo possesses a strong background in PA education and is skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary academic teams to ensure comprehensive educational experiences and successful graduation outcomes for physician assistants.

Prior to her current role at Carlow University, Dr. Okpozo served as an Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Studies Department at Duquesne University for eight years. Earlier, she was employed for five years in the Department of Natural Sciences at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where she taught courses in anatomy and physiology. Additionally, she held a full-time faculty position for one year within the Physician Assistant Department under the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions at the same institution.

She derives great satisfaction from teaching anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, and she enjoys guiding students through gross anatomy cadaveric dissections.
