Dr. Nancy E. Jacqmin is Special Assistant to the Provost (since 2015) and a tenured Associate Professor of Mathematics as well as the new Director of Course Scheduling and Analytics at Carlow University. She has been at Carlow since 1996 serving in a variety of positions including interim administrative assignments as Assistant Dean of the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Dean of the College of Learning and Innovation and University Registrar.
She earned her PhD in Operations Research from Stanford University and her A.B. in Mathematics from Cornell University. Prior to her appointment at Carlow, she was Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University, Associate Dean and Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Allegheny College and Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Slippery Rock University.
She is passionate about helping all people develop tools to quantitatively reason about things important to them and those they care about.
