Lisa Spagnolo earned her associate degree in nursing from Community College of Allegheny County, a BSN from California University of Pennsylvania, and an MSN with a focus in leadership and education from California University of Pennsylvania
Mrs. Spagnolo is an instructor in the traditional BSN program, Second Degree BSN program, as well as the RN-BSN program. Additionally, she serves as the course coordinator for the traditional BSN junior level medical/surgical course. Prior to coming to Carlow University, Lisa held the position of adjunct faculty for Community College of Allegheny County-South campus.
Clinical experience includes cardiac telemetry, progressive care, and medical/surgical nursing. She has served as a nurse preceptor for multiple nursing students and mentor for graduate nurses.
She developed and implemented a hospital wide system to improve patient identification while reducing administrative and supply costs. Ongoing focus includes improving the knowledge of pharmacology and drug calculations of nursing students.
