JUDITH VOLLMER is the author of six books of poetry, including THE SOUND BOAT: New and Selected Poems, University of Wisconsin Press Four Lakes Prize, April 2022. Vollmer’s poems, essays, and reviews have appeared in The Georgia Review, Plume, Barrow Street, Southern Indiana Review, The Woman’s Review of Books, Poetry International, The Great River Review, AGNI, The Cambridge Companion to Baudelaire, and elsewhere. She is recipient of grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Corporation of Yaddo, and the American Academy in Rome. Vollmer is an emerita Professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh/Greensburg; while at Pitt she received the Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award. She lives in Pittsburgh and teaches poetry privately and in Carlow University’s MFA Program.
