Dr. Jessica Huber is the Director of Experiential Learning and an Assistant Professor in the Undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Carlow University. In June of 2023 and May 2024, Jessica led a Study Abroad trip with another Carlow University faculty member to UPMC’s ISMETT in Palermo, Italy for nursing and social worker students. Jessica has an Associate of Science (ASN) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from LaRoche University, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Carlow University, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Instructional Management and Leadership from Robert Morris University. She works as a Senior Professional Staff Nurse at Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s for the last 18 years that provides the experience needed to be the Course Coordinator for our Nursing Care of Children and Adolescents course her at Carlow. Jessica holds a Critical Care Nurse Certification (CCRN) and a Certified Pediatric Nurse Certification (CPN). Her dissertation, Perceptions of an accelerated second-degree bachelor of science in nursing program: A conceptual replication study was completed in the Spring of 2020.
