Alyson Koenig joined Carlow University’s Grace Library in 2018 as Access Services Librarian and has since been promoted to Library Services Coordinator & University Archivist. She graduated from Duquesne University with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Public History. As Library Services Coordinator, she serves as system administrator of the library’s online resources—including the library’s website, integrated library system, offsite proxy authentication server, databases, electronic journals, and eBooks—and reciprocal borrowing manager. As University Archivist, she serves as the primary point of contact for archival requests, plans and directs ongoing archival processing and digitization projects, manages the library’s digital archives repository, and participates in campus events by sharing pieces of the University’s history.

Alyson is devoted to preserving, exploring, and sharing the stories of Carlow University’s past with the campus and wider Pittsburgh communities, as well as to helping current students learn to conduct research that will help them in their future careers, preparing them to join the long legacy they are part of.
