National Suicide Prevention Lifeline – Phone: +1 (800) 273-8255: The Lifeline operated by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, as well as prevention and crisis resources. The foundation can also provide information on suicide statistics, prevention techniques and a list of available resources.
The Trevor Project – Phone: +1 (866) 488-7386: The TrevorLifeline is a toll-free 24/7 suicide intervention and prevention service operated by the Trevor Project, which provides outlets for communication and support for LGBTQ individuals of any age.
National Alliance on Mental Illness – Phone: +1 (800) 950-6264: The National Alliance on Mental Illness Helpline offers free, confidential crisis counseling from 10 a.m.-6 p.m weekdays and can also be reached 24/7 by texting “NAMI” to 741741.
Active Minds: Active Minds provides education about mental health on college campuses, a list of resources for students in crisis and a therapist/counseling search tool.

Center for Victims – Phone: +1 (866) 644-2882: The center’s services include a 24/7 crisis hotline, therapy and counseling, victims’ rights information, legal support, victim compensation assistance. The center is located at 3433 E. Carson St., Pittsburgh PA 15203.
Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh – Phone: + 1 (877) 338-8255: The organization is a safe harbor that provides care and support for survivors of intimate partner violence, including emergency shelter, legal advocacy, a 24/7 hotline and support groups.
Southwest PA Says NO MORE: Southwest PA Says NO MORE is a community of organizations and individuals working to end domestic and sexual violence.

To Write Love on Her Arms: To Write Love on Her Arms is a nonprofit movement that provides hope and help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. The organization can help locate local resources. Immediate help can be obtained by texting “TWLOHA” to741741.
Anxiety Resource Center: The center provides educational materials, a newsletter and a blog.
Social Anxiety Association: The association promotes the understanding and treatment of social anxiety disorder and provides resources, including links to support groups and information on how to find health professionals and treatment options.
Beyond OCD: Beyond OCD offers suggestions and resources to help cope with and conquer obsessive compulsive disorder, and offers tools to find local support groups.
The Jed Foundation: The foundation provides online resources to promote emotional health and prevent suicide among college students.
Eating Disorders
UPMC Center for Eating Disorders – Phone: +1 (724) 933-3910: The center provides treatment for ages 14 and up. It is located at 3811 O’Hara St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
National Eating Disorder Association: The association provides links and tools to seek help, and provides information about support groups, treatment referrals and research.
Eating Disorder Hope: Eating Disorder Hope provides information on education and awareness, recovery tools, treatment and support, and has a blog for college students suffering from eating disorders.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration – Phone: + 1 (800) 662-4357: The administration provides a 24/7 hotline and can connect callers to local resources. It also provides information on substance abuse and a local treatment locator.
