Thursday 9/26/2024

Black Alumni Connection Affinity Group Kick Off
Time: Tentative 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Location: On Carlow campus, top floor of the Antonian building. PT/OT teaching and learning lab.

Carlow University is proud to share the launch of the Black Alumni Connection (BLAC), our inaugural black alumni affinity group. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to fostering a strong network, supporting black students and alumni, and promoting inclusive excellence within the Carlow community. BLAC aims to be a catalyst for positive change, offering a platform for professional development, mentorship, and social engagement while strengthening ties to Carlow and creating new opportunities for participants.  Join us for our first mixer!

Mercy Service Day 
Time: 8:00 am – 12:00pm 
Location: University Green, Rally in St. Joseph’s Athletic Center and Service in the West Oakland Community.  
Food/beverage: Continental breakfast on University Green

Alumni who register will join first year student to serve our local communities.  Registration and a continental breakfast opens at 9:00 am. Some of our locations include American Heart Association, Bethlehem Haven, Garden of Millvale, Gwen’s Girls, Sisters of Mercy Convent, Carlow Garden and more. 

CU on the Green Carlow Community Festival 
Time: 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Location: Campus Green and surrounding campus areas.

Celebrate what it means to be Carlow through and through! This is a celebration for the entire Carlow Community includes a stage with live DJ, food tents, and so much more. 

Athletics Walk of Fame
Time: 5:00pm – 6:00pm
Location: Rosemary Heyl Theatre, Antonian Hall

This is a staple event at Carlow and this year we are bringing together generations of Celtic athletes.  Alumni and current student athletes are invited to join the Athletics Walk of Fame ceremony. 

Women’s Volleyball Game
Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Location: St. Joe’s Gymnasium

Join us on campus to cheer on Carlow’s women’s volleyball team as they go up against St. Vincent College. Carlow welcomes all surrounding high school volleyball teams to join in and witness how we are devoted to our student athletes.  As the game is going on, step out on the Green and join us for our annual CU on the Green festival celebration.

Brunch at the Duquesne Club – 50^th and 60^th Reunion Celebration

A celebratory gathering to reunite our class years ending in five. Join us for brunch at the one and only Duquesne Club to reminisce with old classmates and learn how the Carlow mission is thriving throughout the Pittsburgh region. 

Gaynor’s School of Cooking Private Cooking Demonstration
Cost: $35
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Location: Gaynor’s School of Cooking 309 East Carson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

Come and experience the joy of cooking together with your Carlow friends! Join us at Gaynor’s school of cooking for a private appetizer class.  You will learn how to perfect your cooking skills alongside a private chef who will teach you how to prepare delicious stuffed mushrooms, crispy wontons with spicy Asian pork, Gingered Chicken Sate and Roasted Vegetable Bruschetta. Bon Appetit!

Carlow Ireland Documentary Cocktail Party & Premiere
Time: Cocktails from 5:00pm – 6:00pm, documentary premiere begins at 6:30pm 
Location: University Commons, fifth floor, Gailliot Center, lobby and back patio.

On Par Now Alumni Celebration

Join us in the Strip District before Sunday’s Steeler game at On Par Now, located in the Terminal. On Par Now is a state – of  – the  – art golf tech venue that offers perfect amenities for an alumni event.
