Dr. Nicola came to Carlow after several years in management in the telecommunications industry. She began her teaching career as an adjunct at several higher education institutions: St. Vincent College, University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, Westmoreland Community College, Carlow University. She became full-time at Carlow in 1991.
Dr. Nicola has acted as an independent consultant, attended and presented at numerous international conferences, and is published in several different venues. Her primary interests are mission, planning, communications, organizational behavior, and the history of Carlow University. She has written three in-depth research papers (including her doctoral dissertation) on Carlow’s rich history.
