At Carlow University, international students are those who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States and want to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree. International students must take a full course of study and maintain full-time status while enrolled. Please note that Carlow is an F-1 school.

Enrollment requirements

If you are admitted to Carlow University, you will need to submit the following financial documents before registering for classes. They are not necessary for an admissions decision, but are required for Carlow to issue a Form I-20, the Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status.

• Notarized Affidavit of Support: The Office of Admissions will send this to you which informs you of your approximate balance. Each affidavit must be submitted in its original form; copies will not be accepted.
• Official Bank or Employer’s Statement: All affidavits of support must be accompanied by an official/notarized bank or employer’s statement and must show evidence that the amount pledged is available. If a student has more than one sponsor, each sponsor must submit a Carlow notarized affidavit with an accompanying statement. Bank statements should be no older than six months.

Attendance requirements

All international students must apply for and receive a F-1 visa that permits study in the United States.

Once you have confirmed your decision to attend Carlow University and arrive in the U.S., you must report to the university and submit the following:

• Copy of F-1 Visa
• Copy of I-94 (both front and back)
