Andrew Vargas is the Academic Records Associate at Carlow University. He has worked in a variety of positions in higher education since 2018. His past experience includes work as a Student Service Associate and as a Graduate Instructor. In addition to his current position in the Office of the Registrar, he is also an Adjunct Faculty member at Carlow.

Over the course of his career, he has offered courses in early and modern American History, and at Carlow has taught the first-year course “Connecting to Carlow.” His academic research has been devoted to modern American history, particularly focusing on post-war popular culture and economic transformation in the late 20th Century. He has also developed research projects in the fields of Public History, and 19th Century American History.

As a Staff member, Andy serves a variety of administrative needs in the Office of the Registrar and wider Student Hub. An alumni of a Sisters of Mercy institution, he has a long and dedicated history of living Mercy values in his day-to-day work.
