Bryan DiLucente, CPA, CFF, Managing Director, LitCon Group, Begins July 1
PITTSBURGH – The Carlow University Trustees elected a new Board Chair along with several new Board members at its June 24, 2022 meeting, announced President Kathy W. Humphrey, PhD. The Board elected current Trustee and Vice Chair, Bryan DiLucente, CPA/CFF, Managing Director, LitCon Group, LLC, as the new Board Chair for the term beginning July 1.
Mr. DiLucente is a Certified Public Accountant (Certified in Financial Forensics) and holds a number of related certifications in the fields of finance, accounting and construction. DiLucente earned his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Industrial Management & Managerial Economics and has an MBA from University of Pittsburgh. He also earned a Corporate Director Certificate from Harvard Business School.
Mr. DiLucente, who has served as a Trustee since 2015, has served on numerous University committees and task forces over time. Most recently, he served as the Chair of both the Enterprise Risk Management and Audit Committee and the Capital Campus Transformation Plan Task Force. He formerly served as Board Treasurer, Chair of the Financial Oversight Committee and was a member of the University’s Presidential Search Committee.
“I am committed to ensuring strong fiduciary leadership and stewardship in advancing Carlow’s mission and am honored to serve in this leadership capacity,” said Mr. DiLucente. “What drives me is knowing that at Carlow, the difference we make in each student’s life is will be additive to generations to come.”
Approximately 44% of Carlow’s student population is PELL-eligible, 26% are students of color, and Carlow ranks 23rd on social mobility. This is consistent with Carlow’s tradition of helping those, who otherwise may not have had opportunity, earn a certificate or degree, thereby changing the course of their life and transforming the lives of generations to follow.
Mr. DiLucente credits his father, a contractor who performed work for the University long ago, for instilling in him at an early age the concept of giving back. In the spirit of that parental advice, Mr. DiLucente has honored his father’s legacy by being actively involved as a Trustee at the University over the years. “Higher education and Carlow are evolving rapidly to respond to the needs of the 21st century student,” noted President Humphrey. “I could not be more pleased to have such a committed Board Chair at the helm during this transformative time.”
As the immediate past Board Chair, Dorothy Davis, Esq., Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, will continue as an officer of the Board. “Dorothy has been the essence of a servant leader,” remarked President Humphrey. “Carlow has been very fortunate to have had her as Board Chair, for she is deeply committed to the mission and welfare of the institution. Her work has made a difference, and Carlow is stronger today because of her.”
The board also elected three new Trustees to a first term beginning July 1.
