Colorism Across Cultures

The Oxford English Dictionary defines colorism as “prejudice or discrimination against individuals with a dark skin tone, typically amongst people of the same ethnic or racial group.” As we expand our understanding of white supremacy and propaganda with colonial origins, we must interrogate the ways our own communities have internalized harmful attitudes and behaviors.
