Vaccine Clinic Available

Integrated Health 21 (IH21) will offer vaccines on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022 in Frances Warde Hall. First, second and booster doses of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available. To sign up, please click here.

Masks Available

As we return to campus, we will have properly fitting masks (disposable, white surgical style with nose fitting) available should you forget one or need to replace the one you have. Cloth masks have been proven ineffective. Please stop by Campus Police Dispatch, Frances Warde Hall, to get one.

Return Testing Available – Required if Not Fully Vaccinated

Return to campus PCR (not rapid) testing is scheduled with Curative on Tuesday, Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for all students courtesy of the Allegheny County Health Department. The Curative van will be stationed outside Dougherty Hall in the handicap parking spaces off the main driveway. You may schedule an appointment by clicking here. A Curative van is also available seven days a week at the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History near the outside rear parking lot. You may schedule an appointment for that location by clicking here.

Responding to Health Issues

As we navigate the pandemic environment, please use the following guidelines:

  • Regardless of vaccination status, if you have any COVID-19-related symptoms, please do not come to campus. Instead, please contact Health Services, 412-578-6474, and/or your primary care physician (PCP) for further guidance.
  • When symptomatic, students are encouraged to communicate directly with faculty regarding course requirements and maintaining progress in a remote status.

Tiernan Dining Hall Hours

Reminders:

Wear Properly Fitting Masks

All students are asked to wear properly fitting masks when in campus buildings or vehicles. As the semester has begun, masks fitted improperly and loosely have been noted. Please see the latest information on recommended masks by clicking here. Cloth masks, while fashionable, have been found to be less effective than medical masks.

Help Needed? Submit a Care Report

At the beginning of each semester, students occasionally struggle with affordability, academic adjustments and connecting to the community. If you become concerned about yourself or others, please submit a report and let the Care Team know about any needs, questions or concerns. We are active and will contact you, or those you refer, to help. You may also contact the Student Affairs office at 412-578-6293 or .

We look forward to having students return to campus!

Sincerely,

Timothy P. Phillips, PhD
Vice President of Student Affairs & Dean of Students
