Thursday, Oct. 7 @ 6 p.m. – Student Government Association (SGA) Meeting
This week, the SGA hosts a town hall meeting on campus dining. University representatives and Dining Services leadership will be available to provide information, listen to needs, and discuss solutions. We hope you’ll join us! - Pittsburgh Area: To find information on events happening in Pittsburgh this weekend, click here. Remember, Port Authority of Pittsburgh offers $1 trips with Carlow student ID evenings and weekends. Bus schedule information can be found by clicking here. We will be offering a shuttle service on Saturday and Sundays soon. Please stay tuned for more information!
Fall Break is October 11-12
Monday and Tuesday are Fall Break, which means day format classes are off. However, CAP 1 & CAP-format graduate classes remain in session. University offices will be open Monday and Tuesday during operating hours.
Student Testing Requirements
Per CDC guidelines, the University will begin testing students who are unvaccinated or who have not indicated their vaccination status. This applies to all who have in-person classes or learning experiences. Groups of students will be randomly identified to test each week and students will receive an email communication regarding where and when testing is expected.
If you are vaccinated and have not already responded, please provide detail here so that we might remove you from this testing requirement. The form to submit your status can be found by clicking here.

Symptomatic? Not sure what to do?
Students who are symptomatic should stay where they are and contact Health Services by calling 412-578-6474 or emailing hcs@carlow.edu. Please also contact your Primary Care Physician (PCP), along with faculty, supervisors, or other appropriate individuals. We have received many questions about what to do in such an instance, and have attached a pair of documents to help. Please do not come to campus, attend classes, or learning experiences until you are certain of your health status. The CAA is Open for Tutoring and Academic Coaching
The Center for Academic Achievement (CAA) is tutoring and coaching online! Students can make an appointment with a tutor or academic coach through the scheduling system’s video feature or through email with a writing tutor. The CAA is here to help! Help Needed? Submit a Care Report
With the beginning of each semester, students occasionally struggle with affordability, academic adjustments, and connecting to the community. If you become concerned about yourself or others, please submit a report and let the Care Team know about any needs, questions or concerns.
