All Carlow alumni can apply to join the Alumni Council. The purpose of the council is to engage and communicate with current and future alumni encouraging an ongoing, positive relationship with their alma mater. Serving as an extension of the University mission, the council supports the overall goals of the University and aims to amplify the Mercy value of hospitality.

The council’s goals are to:

  • Be lifelong partner/ambassador to the University
  • Serve as an advisory group to the University 
  • Work with the Office of Alumni Engagement to increase the number of engaged alumni
  • Help cultivate a culture of philanthropic giving toward University initiatives

Candidates for Carlow University Alumni Council must be willing to:

  • Share your time, knowledge, expertise and talents to advance the goals of the council and University
  • Contribute annually to the Carlow Fund
  • Maintain a Carlow Connect profile
  • Attend one meeting per month
  • Participate in alumni engagement events such as the reunion, breakfast with Santa, giving appreciation, and fundraising
  • Serve as an Alumni Ambassador
