The Military Student and Family Resource Team is a network for Carlow University’s military student population and their families. The team, composed of representatives from departments across campus, strives to help you reach your full potential and continue to serve as an ethical leader.

The team:

  • Promotes the Carlow mission and vision by helping eligible military students and their families get the University resources they need
  • Assists military students and their families with federal or state regulations relating to military benefits
  • Provides resources, referrals and consultation for offices that serve the needs of our military population
  • Coordinates and sponsors events to celebrate military lives and contributions

Admissions

Services: support with application and admission process, scheduling, first day of classes

Campus Ministry

Services: spiritual and pastoral needs, opportunities for prayer, service, reflection and worship

Career Development

Services: provides job search strategies (translating military experience to civilian work and interview skills), college to career transition services (career advising sessions, career-related programming, internship/job search support and employer engagement on and off campus)

Services: tutoring, study groups, help with writing, research, course material and time management

Counseling Services

Services: provides information and support for veterans, and can treat such issues as PTSD, traumatic brain injury and adjustment post-deployment

Services: helps veterans navigate academic resources and transition services

Student Accounts

Services: monitors students’ enrollment status and academic progress as they relate to payment disbursement and educational benefit for courses attempted, provides information on the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs programs that Carlow participates in and other relevant information. The office does not determine eligibility for benefits, and does not have access to students’ VA records.
