Sandi DiMola, a former Fulbright awardee, is Chair of the Department of Analytical, Physical, & Social Sciences and Director of the Center for Experiential Learning. DiMola is a founding member of Mediators Beyond Borders, an NGO engaged in capacity building in post-conflict societies. She has served as a consultant to the Pittsburgh Public Schools on the design of a mediation plan for resolution of ethnic violence and as a project advisor in the Heinz College of Carnegie Mellon University for a graduate student capstone entitled “Developing a Tool for International Mediators by Modeling Conflict Ripeness,” which was undertaken for the U.S. Institute of Peace.
