Official transcripts and certified credential evaluations

Official transcripts are required from all institutions attended, and must be sent directly from the institution to Carlow University or with the certified credential evaluation. Originals or notarized (certified) copies are required. We will not accept transcripts sent by the student.

It is your responsibility as the applicant to have your transcript(s) officially evaluated by a current member organization of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Preferred NACES members include:

  • World Education Services
  • Educational Credential Evaluators
  • SpanTran: The Evaluation Company
  • Josef Silny and Associates, Inc.

First-Year Students: When requesting the certified credential evaluation, request a cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale and indicate whether the credential is equivalent to a high school diploma in the United States.

Transfer/Adult/Graduate Students: When requesting the certified credential evaluation, request a course-by-course evaluation.

Please request that the evaluation company send the official evaluation report, along with the transcript(s), directly to Carlow University. We will not accept transcripts or certified credential evaluations sent by the student.

You are required to show proficiency in the English language. To do so, your official results from one or more of the following standardized tests must be submitted directly from the applicable testing agency. We cannot accept test scores sent by the student. Additionally, we do not provide fee waivers to offset the cost of taking one of these tests.
