Pittsburgh, Pa. – Four Carlow University student-athletes were named United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-Americans at the 2016 USCAA Softball National Championship Banquet held in Akron, Ohio. The awards banquet preceded the opening of the 2016 Small College World Series at Firestone Stadium in Akron.
The four Carlow University Celtics All-Americans are:
First Team
Kelsey Geyer, a sophomore majoring in biology, played shortstop and outfield for the Celtics in 2016. She is a Woodland Hills High School graduate.
Second Team
Allison Hryadil, a junior majoring in nursing, played third base for the Celtics this season. She is a graduate of Montour High School.
Honorable Mention
Jenna Grogan, a senior majoring in forensic accounting and accounting, pitched and played the outfield for the Celtics in 2016. She is a graduate of Shaler High School.
Nicole George, a senior majoring in nursing, was the catcher and played outfield for the Celtics this season. She is a graduate of Ambridge High School.
