Carlow University will host a panel discussion on environmental issues as part of the “Faithful Citizenship: Election 2016” events happening on Allegheny County’s three Catholic colleges’ campuses.

Carlow’s Panel Discussion Part of “Faithful Citizenship: Election 2016” Presented by Allegheny County’s Catholic Colleges and Universities
Pittsburgh, Pa. – As part of Faithful Citizenship: Election 2016, an ongoing discussion of issues by local Catholic colleges and universities, Carlow University will host “Care of God’s Creation, Justice and the Environment” on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, from 4:30 until 6 pm in the Kresge Center, located on the fifth floor of University Commons.
The panelists for Care Of God’s Creation, Justice, And The Environment will be Michael Martucci, an assistant professor in chemistry; Marianne Comfort, a member of the Institute Justice Team of the Sisters of Mercy; and Jillian Rubino, a senior chemistry major with minors in pre-law and political science.
The Carlow discussion is one of three events hosted by the Catholic colleges and universities in Allegheny County. In addition to Carlow, both La Roche College and Duquesne University will host panel discussions to assist voters in learning more about social justice issues that are important for this election.
Duquesne University will host two panels on September 26, one at 4:30 pm and the other at 7:30 pm, titled “Building a Better World: Academic Panels on Faith and Politics,” in the African Room in Duquesne’s Student Union.
LaRoche College will host its panel discussion, titled “Poverty and Preferential Treatment for the Poor, on Monday, October 24, in the Magdelen Chapel, at 7 p.m.
