Carlow University first year students will work at more than 15 non-profit agencies on Friday, September 23, as part of the university’s annual Mercy Service Day.

Pittsburgh, Pa. – Hundreds of Carlow University students will put down their books and laptops and pick up a paintbrush, a scrub bucket, or a broom to assist more than 15 non-profit organizations throughout Allegheny County as part of the university’s annual Mercy Service Day.
All Carlow’s first year students plus some faculty and staff will be working from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday for the following organizations:

Mercy Service Day has been an annual activity at Carlow University for the past dozen years. It is always held during the third week of September to honor Carlow’s founding by the Sisters of Mercy in 1929. For the past several years, it has been an integral part of Mercy Founder’s Fortnight, Carlow’s two week celebration of its heritage.
