Pittsburgh, Pa. – It’s not too early to get a case of Hay Fever. Carlow University Theatre will present Noel Coward’s wit-comedy Hay Fever opening Thursday, March 15 at 8 p.m. in the Rosemary Heyl Theatre in Antonian Hall, on the Carlow campus.
The four members of the Bliss family—an eclectic and artistic group of self-centered wits—each invite a guest down to the summerhouse for the weekend. Nothing goes as planned—especially for the guests, who expect a normal British family and a normal weekend.
Coward’s play debuted at the Ambassadors Theater in London’s West End in June 1925, and it opened at the Maxine Elliott Theatre in New York later that same year. It has been revived numerous times in the years since on stage and on television.
Hay Fever will be directed by Steve Fatla. In addition to the opening on March 15, shows will be Friday, March 16, Saturday, March 17, and Thursday through Saturday the following week, March 22, 23, and 24. All shows begin at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $15, $12 for Seniors and Students.
