Prayer Service in Honor of the 15th Anniversary of 9/11

In remembrance of the 15th Anniversary of 9/11, Campus Ministry will be holding a Memorial Prayer Service starting on Monday, September 12 at 9:03 AM on the University Commons porch by the green.

The service will continue in McAuley Chapel. The prayer service will end with a short procession down the stairs to the 2nd floor of the University Commons where a “Peace Wheel” including the following categories: Religion, law, habitat, education, business, culture, science, and environment will be shown.

Throughout the week, all community members will be able to add a dove to the appropriate part of the Peace Wheel with their pledge to work for peace by doing something in the appropriate category. For example, “I will get to know people of various faiths, so I can understand various views about life issues” would go on the “Religion” Panel; I will volunteer to help those whose houses were destroyed by recent flooding,” would be placed onto the “Habitat” Panel.

Please join us to honor all those who lost their lives or were impacted by this tragic event.
