You will develop the technical skills you need to excel in a career as a human resource manager with a Human Resource Management major. You can help other people succeed in the workplace by assisting them in improving their productivity and finding job satisfaction. 

This course of study will help you develop skills required for the recruitment, retention and development of the 21st-century workplace. 

With a human resource major, you will receive a solid human resource base coupled with the skills to design and manage a human resource information system (HRIS).

The curriculum includes foundational courses in human resources and psychology, plus two HRIS courses to give you hands-on design and management exposure to components of HRIS concepts.

3-Year Degree

Finish your bachelor’s degree in three years by following a 3-year academic plan. Courses are taken across fall, spring and summer terms with summer courses completely online. When applying, indicate your interest in the 3-Year Degree option.

Accelerated

Fast track your way to a master’s by taking graduate courses as an undergraduate student. Course credits count toward both degrees. Apply for the accelerated option after your sophomore year.

Nearly every industry needs a human resource manager. HR managers work for companies, local and state governments, hospitals and medical facilities, colleges and universities, consulting services and employment services. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a faster than average growth outlook of 6% from 2019 to 2029.
