Thirteen Carlow sports teams earn 2018-19 NAIA Scholar-Team distinction

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Thirteen of Carlow University's 15 varsity athletic teams earned NAIA Scholar-Team accolades for the 2018-19 season.

For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar-Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0-grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.

The women's tennis team earned the highest GPA in the department with a 3.593 average for the year.

As a department, the Celtics boasted an average 3.295 GPA across all sports.

River States Conference opponent Asbury (Ky.) University led the conference and the league with 25 teams represented.
