July 9, 10, and 11, 2013
Prepare to Care is a summer workshop for high school girls who are interested in healthcare professions and want to explore college life. Carlow University specifically designed this interactive program to give girls a hands-on experience and a rare glimpse into a field that may be perfect for them.

Prepare to Care is a
three-day workshop that
introduces you to careers
in the fields of health
care and health sciences.
Healthcare educators
and professionals
recommend you gain
as much hands-on
experience as possible— and Carlow University's
workshop delivers. During Prepare to Care, you will meet with faculty
members, nurses,
and other healthcare
specialists, researchers,
tour healthcare facilities,
and learn nursing
essentials in Carlow's
state-of-the-art Nursing
Skills Lab.
NEW THIS YEAR: 3-day workshop includes one night* spent in the Carlow dorms! (night of Wednesday, July 10). Cost includes the 3-day workshop, all off- campus transportation, a T-shirt, a journal, continental breakfasts and lunches and dinner (July 10), activities and residence hall during the overnight portion.
*A Carlow University graduate resident assistant will be with your students for the night.

- Gross Anatomy Lab
- CPR training
- Lab experiments
- Simulation lab

hospitals and
healthcare facilities
Open to all high school girls entering grades 9-12 interested in exploring the healthcare professions.
