Carlow Roundtable in Carlow, Ireland

Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, welcomes you to the 5th Carlow Roundtable “Gathering in Mercy’s Home,” Mercy International in Dublin, and Glendalough  from May 26 to June 1, 2013.

You are invited to join colleagues who share a common interest in the mission of Mercy education for this exciting opportunity to exchange ideas, information, and methodologies across disciplines and areas of expertise.  Participation is limited to 30 members of the faculty, staff or administration of member institutions of the Conference for Mercy Higher Education.
Participants may attend as either participants or presenters.

Those who wish to present at the Round Table are invited to submit abstracts for review on the topic: “Bringing Mercy to Light: How the values of the Sisters of Mercy Inform the Work of Teaching and Administration.”

Mary Reynolds, RSM, Executive Director of Mercy International will be our keynote speaker who will welcome us home to Catherine’s House. 

The conference committee will select from among the abstracts those that will be presented at the conference. Details concerning the submission of abstracts and registration can be downloaded by clicking here (PDF) or the link below.

The cost of the Round Table is $2000 and includes:

  • Transportation to and from Dublin Airport on Sunday, May 26, and Sunday June 2, 2013
  • Nightly Accommodations beginning Sunday May 26 through Saturday, June 1, 2013
  • 7 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners
  • Sightseeing tours

Attendees arrive on Sunday, May 26 and travel to Dublin and Mercy International. . The Round Table presentations begin on Monday, May 27 and continue until Saturday, June 1, 2013. The conference closes on the afternoon of June 1st. >>View the Itinerary (PDF) (tentative)
