A theoretical and hands-on examination of the technical tools used in fraud examination and financial forensics. Students will complete a computer-aided forensic accounting investigation using tools essential to fraud examiners: data mining software, data extraction software, case management software, and internet investigation resources. Students will also gain a working understanding of the technical, ethical, and legal aspects of acquiring, protecting, and investigating electronic data. 3 credits Prerequisite: MFF 710
