For the past seven years, the Youth Media Advocacy Project (YMAP) has been inspiring young people of the region to work for positive change in their schools and communities. This year, students from Pittsburgh Perry, Pittsburgh Brashear, Manchester Academic Charter School and Westinghouse Academy will present their ideas for school and community improvement.
YMAP has connected these young advocates with Carlow University undergraduate mentors, skilled facilitators from Saturday Light Brigade Radio, Inc., and regional leaders in education, media and government to guide and support their efforts throughout this school year.
This gathering, held at the St. Agnes Center at Carlow University, will give the students the opportunity to workshop their campaigns for Pittsburgh area professionals and leaders, such as yourself, and to receive your valuable feedback and guidance.
