September 28, 11:00am-1:00pm, at University Commons, 2nd Floor -- Hosted by the Office of Career Development and the Center for Global Learning, this event highlights the numerous options for students to gain experiential education through internships, study abroad and service learning. Learn more from students that have study abroad, completed internships and learn about new opportunities. Free popcorn, raffles and prizes!

Academic Convocation on September 20th

Be sure to come to the annual Academic Convocation on Carlow Day -- Tuesday, September 20th, at 12:30pm. The keynote speaker is Dr. Moustafa Bayoumi, author of this year's common reader, "How Does It Feel to Be a Problem?: Being Young and Arab in America." He will also hold a Q&A session at the conclusion of the Convocation, to be held at the Kresge Center in the University Commons.

2015-16 SPiRiT Ambassadors

Wanted: Carlow SPiRiT Ambassadors

The Student Promotion and Recruitment Team (SPiRiT) was established in 1989 to assist the Office of Admissions. More specifically, SPiRiT was formed so that current students (SPiRiT ambassadors) may share their Carlow experience, informing prospective students about college life and being a student at Carlow University. In SPiRiT you can give tours, host prospective students in the residence halls, share what you love about Carlow, and MUCH more!

Applications and Fall 2016 Schedules are due by Friday, September 9, 2016 by 3pm. Please return them to the Welcome Center of the Admissions Office (3rd floor of Antonian Hall).

Fall 2016 Graduate?

Graduating in the Fall? Apply by September 12th

All students who intend to complete a degree in Fall 2016 should submit an “Application for Graduation” to the Office of the Registrar by September 12th. You can bring the form to the Student HUB, fax it to 412-578-6655 or email it to registrar@carlow.edu. This form prompts the Office of the Registrar to notify your advisor to formally review your academic program and approve completion of your degree. Diplomas are generated though the Office of the Registrar.

Homecoming is going to be big this year, and you are not going to want to miss it. Events include a town hall session with Carlow University President Suzanne K. Mellon, PhD, a murder mystery dinner, a food tour of Lawrenceville and lots more.

Campus Police: Welcome Back!

As a courtesy to the community, Carlow University Police allows for a week of no-enforcement regarding typical parking violations during the beginning of the fall semester. Now that everyone is back and is somewhat settled, the Carlow Police will resume ticket writing Tuesday September 6, 2016. Please park appropriately.

Congratulations to the Step Into Fitness Challenge Winners

The Highmark Wellness program initiated at the beginning of the summer, called Step Into Fitness, is over and the raffle winners have been announced! The program goal was to reinforce the importance of being physically active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  The target achievement goal was for participants to earn one point each day by reporting physical activity. In order to qualify for the raffle, each participant had to log at least 40 points. Good job!
