To be fully admitted to the School of Education, students must have the following:
- 48 credits
- GPA of 3.0
- Two college Math courses
- Two college English courses (one literature and one compostion)
To be accepted for Student Teaching, students must have:
- GPA of 3.0
- Passing scores on Praxis 1 Series Tests (PPST)
- Passing Scores on Praxis Exam – Fundamental Subjects Content Knowledge (Required for all except Secondary Education candidates)
- Passing Scores on Praxis Content Area Exam (Required for Secondary Education candidates)
- Appropriate health clearances, criminal history background checks, child abuse history clearance, and federal criminal history records (CHRI)
- A completed student teaching application
