The division offers courses of study within biology, chemistry, mathematics, scientific and medical marketing, and science or math education. Our students acquire a solid scientific and mathematical knowledge base, proficiency in scientific inquiry, and the ability to apply these skills to life situations.
We focus broadly on the student’s need to master content knowledge within and outside his/her chosen discipline, as well as to develop research and analytic skills, communications skills, computational skills, leadership skills, and a professional awareness of his/her career field. Integral to this education is the development of a student’s self-esteem, self-confidence, and independence. The natural outcome of this knowledge and self-awareness is the maturation of students who are grounded in their discipline, guided by their values, and who provide leadership for the benefit of others.
