Library services are available for students enrolled in a low residency or completely online program. Below are library guides to help students find the resources you need.
- Find Journal Articles
You can find journal, magazine and newspaper articles by searching one of the library databases. When you are off-campus, you will be asked to login using your Carlow username and password before being redirected to the database. If your article was not available as full text within the database you were using, you might be able to find it in a different database. Search journal title by using the Journal Finder. If you find that the journal is available only in the print format or you can not find it at all using the journal finder, then complete a RAPID ILL form and have the article delivered to you via email (normally takes 1-3 business days).
- How to Find Books or DVDs/Videos
Access the library's Online Catalog and search for a listing of what books, DVDs and videos Grace Library owns. E-books can be viewed immediately online by clicking on the "URL" link and logging in. For books in print, complete this form to request a book, DVD or video be mailed by U.S. Mail to you. (Requires a barcode number; this is your 9-digit Carlow ID number.) You are responsible for returning items to the library via US mail or in person by the due date. If you can not find a book in Grace Library, you can utilize the E-Z Borrow service to borrow books (barcode number = 9-digit Carlow ID). International students, please contact Library staff for assistance. After requesting a book via E-Z Borrow please call 412-578-6139 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to let a library staff member know that you are a student in a low residency or online program and will need to have the book mailed to you.
