From connecting you with a tutor to giving tips on how to do APA research, the Center for Academic Achievement is here to assist you in reaching your academic goals

The Center for Academic Achievement (CAA) helps students succeed through individual and group tutoring as well as workshops in writing, research, and learning and study strategies.

Tutoring at the CAA is provided by more than 40 peer tutors and a five-person professional staff. Peer tutors are current Carlow students who have mastered the skills and material for specific courses, have been recommended by Carlow faculty, and are trained in facilitating individual and group tutoring sessions, including exam reviews. Their training is in the process of becoming certified by the College Reading and Learning Association. Several tutors serve as Writing Fellows and Lead Tutors embedded in specific courses. Professional staff are specialists in their fields with many years of teaching experience. In addition to one-on-one tutoring, they facilitate workshops on learning and study strategies and faculty-requested workshops on writing and research skills.
