The Carlow men’s golf team competed in the Grove City College Fall Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Grove City Country Club.
The Celtics scored 404, improving by 13 strokes from their last match Sept. 9, against Waynesburg. They finished ninth in the 10-team field, which was topped by the host Wolverines, who scored 307.
Carlow was led by Hunter Marshall (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Louis Stefanik (FR/Vandergrift, Pa.), who both shot 89 on the par-72, 6,763-yard course.
The Celtics' other scorers were Nick Paone (SO/Export, Pa.) and Ryan Bradigan-Barnett (SO/Dayton, Pa.), who scored 112 and 114 respectively.
Ben Mullins, of LaRoche College, was the individual medalist in the 49-golfer field, shooting a 70. J.P. Duffy, of Saint Vincent College, was the individual runner-up, with a 73.
The Celtics next play at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational on Sept. 16-17, at The Links at Spring Church, in Apollo, Pa. The shotgun start is slated for 9am. The Carlow women’s team will also be in action at the event.
