Carlow University TV Commercial Wins CASE's Circle of Excellence Award

Carlow University's television commercial, "Pittsburgh is my City and Carlow is my University," received a bronze award from CASE's Circle of Excellence Awards Program.

Carlow Earns Bronze Award for Commercial Featuring Alumnus Justin Mazzei

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) , an international association of educational institutions, has awarded Carlow University a 2017 Circle of Excellence (Bronze) Award for its television commercial, “Pittsburgh is my City; Carlow is my University.”

The commercial that won the award features Justin Mazzei, a 2006 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in art education, who currently serves as the program director for Youth and Arts at Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild on Pittsburgh’s North Side.  Here is a link to the commercial:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJyNAlYQDno

The commercial was conceived and written by the marketing and communications staff and produced by local filmmaker Nic Lockerman.

CASE’s Circle of Excellence Awards Program is an annual competition that celebrates colleges and universities whose “accomplishments have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, and deliver exceptional results.” (The quote is from the CASE website, and the link is here: http://www.case.org/Award_Programs/About_COE.html)

Carlow was recognized for the bronze award along with Kansas State University.  The silver award went to the University of California, San Diego, and the gold award went to Red River College from Canada.
